I really enjoyed the last week's discussion board topics. :) They were probably my favorite ones so far in the class. I really enjoyed this class and have become very aware of what is happening in terms of gender around me. I think that this class has brought my awareness and knowledge around the situation of gender and sex to a new level. I also enjoyed the extra content that we watched in terms of videos and documentaries that gave us examples of what we are discussing. Not only did we get to talk about Disney and women centered movies, but we also were able to view other visual representations outside of class lectures through this blog. I think it is a great way to administer techniques to learn about gender. I also really enjoyed making this blog. It helped me sort through my thoughts and ideas of gender in a very communicative way. It also helped me look at various hobbies, jobs, and enjoyments in my life in a new perspective. I really enjoyed voicing and developing my ideas with others. And for your enjoyment: Hermione Granger being the one to hit Draco Malfoy in the face which is pretty defiant of gender in my opinion.
