When I first started my start-up business on my blog, I thought I knew quite a lot about my so-called “business.”

I was happily naive. Over the last few months, I’ve been able to create more sustainable and efficient ways to conduct my business. However, I also noticed how much I didn’t know and would still have to learn about running a start-up business.

Over the last few weeks of the year, I've been reading and working through much of Kothand's marketing strategies for start-up businesses and entrepreneurs. It's been much easier to determine who my target audience is, my marketing strategies towards my target audience, and goals that I'm hoping to achieve for and through my business start-up.

If you’re considering starting a blog or a start-up business, read Meera Kothand's CREATE An Intensive Biz Playbook & Planner: Scale Your Online Business, Create Explosive Growth and Build a Brand You Crave.

Not only will CREATE give you valuable insight into your target audience and marketing strategy, but it will also have you planning for the new year ahead.

  4. Your Digital Presence (Website Design and Social Media Marketing)

  5. Your Offers (Products and Services)

  6. Your Revenue and Income Plan

  7. Your Goals

  8. Conclusion

  9. Resources

Kothand gives you plenty of room to write in her comprehensive workbook for your start-up business. If you’re a bit timid about writing in a book, you can always have a corresponding notebook to keep track and log your conclusions with her workbook.

CREATE's biggest section is notably your start-up business' products and services. Not only does Kothand take you through which products and services to distribute, but she also helps you set up how to relate and link problem-solving methods to your target audience. By solving a problem with your product and service, you'll be able to assist and market your products and services more reliable than other business start-ups.

For my start-up business, I was most concerned with the marketing strategy. While I know I could benefit from all or most of the sections with Kothand’s workbook, I knew a thorough marketing strategy would be my strongest trait within my business start-up.

Not only was I excited about my marketing strategy, but I was also able to set some rules and guidelines to help my start-up business have content and digital marketing strategies that went along with my products and services.
