Startup OU is starting point for entrepreneurship at the University of Oklahoma, serving as a home for aspriring and active entrepreneurs regardless of year, major, college, or industry. It supports aspiring entrepreneurs and emerging companies at all stages of development, providing guidance and resources to carry entrepreneurs from idea to launch.
Startup OU offers students, faculty, staff and alumni from across the University the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, explore innovative business ideas and create new businesses that move Oklahoma's economy forward.
Ideal Audience Personas
Allie
As an Engineering student, Allie is looking to build new technology for startup businesses. She has expertise after working in the partnering FabLab workshop by using various lasers, 3-D printers, and metal working materials to piece together prototypes. Being able to help startups with multiple technological needs and work on new prototypes of her own, Allie is hoping to make her own shop an outsource for growing startups as they develop.
Samuel & brandon
Samuel and Brandon founded Heliocorp to assist military contractors navigate darkened areas and terrains with drone technology. As graduate students through the business school, Heliocorp pitched to various companies and presented its prototypes to multiple investors and defense contractors to receive funding from investors, competitions, and grants. The entrepreneurs worked with defense contractors to solidify funding and revenue to start Heliocorp.
