When you’re the puppet master of your small business, you get to do all the things or pay someone else to do those things for you.
However, there are times when you have little to no motivation to do anything. So, I found a few things that helped me feel productive while putting in minimal effort.

Why I chose not to focus on all of the social media platforms for my business
When I first started my business, I tried to maintain accounts on all social media platforms. I quickly realized I wasn’t cut out to maintain 5 different social media accounts on different platforms.
So, I did the next best thing. I downsized.
Instead of maintaining 5 different social media accounts, I focused on 2-3 accounts.

Since my small business is still in the early stages, I’m still developing many of the more basic aspects, like target audience, marketing strategies, and consistent engagement. I’m hoping to nail down many of my small business strategies throughout the new year in 2020.

Many work environments look for hard and technically learned skill sets but soft skills tend to hold more power over positions. It’s important to know hard skills, like Adobe Creative Suite or book-keeping software, but your soft skills show how you work with others, whether that be a client or a coworker.
